Injuries
Owen TippettOut
Tippett (undisclosed) was contending with several injuries, including a sports hernia, during the 2026 postseason, Kevin Kurz of The Athletic reports Monday.
More detail
Kurz noted that there should be further clarification on Tippett's status soon, but the 27-year-old winger is expected be ready for training camp ahead of the 2026-27 campaign. Tippett missed the entirety of the Flyers' second-round series defeat to the Hurricanes due to his injuries. The Ontario native finished just two points shy of his career high (53) over 81 appearances during the 2025-26 regular season, but he should have plenty of opportunities to best that total in the years to come as a key part of Philadelphia's top six.
Rodrigo AbolsInjured Reserve
Abols (ankle) isn't close to being an option for a return to the lineup. according to Jonathan Bailey of The Hockey News on Saturday.
More detail
Abols sported a non-contact jersey during Saturday's morning skate, Jordan Hall of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports. The 30-year-old Abols remains on injured reserve and hasn't played since Jan. 17 against the Rangers.
Nikita GrebenkinOut
Grebenkin (upper body) still isn't close to being available to return to the lineup, Jonathan Bailey of The Hockey News reports Saturday.
More detail
Grebenkin hasn't played since March 21 against San Jose, but he could become a consideration in the postseason if Philadelphia has a long playoff run. However, the Flyers will probably need to be involved in a long Eastern Conference Finals series to make him an option. Philadelphia is facing elimination from the 2026 Stanley Cup Playoffs on Saturday in Round 2 against the Hurricanes, trailing the best-of-seven series 3-0.
