Injuries
Tyler Glasnow60-Day-IL
Glasnow (back) will make another minor-league rehab start with Triple-A Oklahoma City on Friday, Katie Woo of The Athletic reports.
More detail
Glasnow is set to be stretched out to roughly four innings and/or 60 total pitches in the outing as the Dodgers continue to slowly ease him back into a full workload. The right-hander is then expected to throw one more rehab start following Friday's outing before Los Angeles would consider activating him from the 60-day injured list. Glasnow has been sidelined since May 8 while recovering from lower back spasms, and he appears to be on track to return to the major-league roster before the end of August.
Blake Treinen60-Day-IL
Treinen (elbow) was transferred to the 60-day injured list Tuesday.
More detail
Treinen has been on the injured list since June 20 while recovering from right elbow inflammation, and he was able to face live hitters July 29. The 38-year-old will still be eligible to be activated from the IL late next week, though he will require a multi-outing minor-league rehab assignment, making a return in late August or early September more likely. In a corresponding move, Blake Snell (elbow) was activated from the 60-day IL on Tuesday.
Will Smith60-Day-IL
Smith (neck) could take batting practice at some point this week, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.
More detail
Smith has been stuck on the injured list since June 11 but has been making recent strides in his recovery. Dave Roberts stated Monday that the week ahead will prove to be critical for Smith, who was cleared to resume some baseball activities near the end of July but still needs time to ramp up and then complete a rehab assignment before being activated from the IL.
Kris Bubic60-Day-IL
Bubic (shoulder/elbow) is hoping to begin a minor-league rehab assignment around early September, MLB.com reports.
More detail
Bubic resumed a throwing progression while still with Kansas City in late July and was traded to the Dodgers on Aug. 3. The veteran hurler is continuing to try to work his way back from left shoulder discomfort and left elbow soreness, which has kept him on the IL since mid-May. Given the length of his absence, Bubic will almost certainly need to make several rehab appearances when he's ready to get into game action, which means that activation from the IL is unlikely to happen before mid-September. With that in mind, and given the Dodgers' deep rotation when healthy, the likeliest scenario for the left-hander to contribute to his new team this season is as a long-relief and/or emergency-starter option down the stretch and into the playoffs.
Will Klein15-Day-IL
Klein underwent an MRI that revealed bone chips in his elbow, and the Dodgers are now deciding the next steps for his recovery, with surgery being an option, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.
More detail
The right-hander landed on the injured list Aug. 1 after surrendering 13 runs (eight earned) over his six previous outings, and his availability for the rest of the season could hang in the balance. If Klein needs to undergo surgery, he'll probably miss the rest of the campaign, so the Dodgers will likely be exploring all the recovery options over the next few days.
Gavin Stone60-Day-IL
Stone (shoulder) will begin a rehab assignment at Triple-A Oklahoma City on Thursday.
More detail
Excluding the lone Cactus League appearance he made this spring, Stone will be pitching in a sanctioned game Thursday for the first time since Aug. 31, 2024. The 27-year-old righty underwent shoulder surgery in October of that year and missed the entire 2025 campaign, then experienced a setback this spring that prolonged his recovery. He's apparently been able to ramp up at the Dodgers' complex in Arizona over the past month without any major issues and will now kick off what will presumably be an extended rehab assignment. Given the Dodgers' ample starting depth, Stone could be preparing for a return to the big club as a multi-inning reliever.
Bobby Miller60-Day-IL
Miller (shoulder/back) allowed a solo home run and struck out three over two innings in his first rehab appearance with Triple-A Oklahoma City on Wednesday.
More detail
It's the first appearance this season for Miller, who has been sidelined by shoulder and back problems. He averaged 96.9 mph with his four-seamer in the outing, which is not far off from the 97.6 mph he averaged with the pitch (but down significantly from the 99.1 mph he averaged back in 2023). Miller could potentially help the major-league club down the stretch — likely in a relief role — but the Dodgers aren't counting on it, given the hurler's performance and injury issues dating back to 2024.
Dalton Rushing10-Day-IL
Manager Dave Roberts said Rushing (elbow) has a "very small" chance of being able to play catcher again this season, but the Dodgers are hopeful that the 25-year-old can serve as a left-handed option off the bench if he's able to return from the 10-day injured list, Jack Harris of the California Post reports.
More detail
Rushing was scratched from the lineup ahead of Sunday's loss to the Red Sox and placed on the injured list Monday due to what the Dodgers referred to as a mild strain of his throwing elbow. He was then sent in for further testing Tuesday, with an MRI revealing a UCL tear in his right elbow. While Rushing is hopeful to avoid surgery and treat the injury with rest and rehab, he won't be cleared to start a several throwing program for several weeks, which takes catching and playing first base or a corner-outfield spot off the table. A left-handed hitter, Rushing shouldn't be too affected by the injury at the plate, but the Dodgers likely won't be able to find regular room for him in the lineup so long as Shohei Ohtani is available to serve as their everyday designated hitter. With that in mind, Rushing looks like a safe drop for fantasy managers in nearly every redraft league.
Ben Casparius60-Day-IL
Casparius (shoulder) made the third appearance of his rehab assignment Friday with Triple-A Oklahoma City, allowing one earned run on no hits and four walks while recording just one out.
More detail
The right-hander has had a rough start to his rehab assignment as he works his way back from right shoulder inflammation, an injury that has kept him on the shelf since April 13. Through his first three outings, Casparius has covered two innings and has yielded two earned runs on one hit while issuing eight walks. Casparius may need close to the entire 30-day rehab window to build up and iron out his control before coming off the 60-day injured list.
Brock Stewart15-Day-IL
MRI results on Stewart's right shoulder revealed tendinitis Saturday, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.
More detail
The Dodgers will shut Stewart down from throwing for three days before reevaluating him, at which point he may be cleared to start up a throwing program. The 34-year-old righty noted that he's been having problems with his shoulder for about a week, and although it didn't have much of an impact on his throwing, he and the team didn't want to risk it developing into something more severe once the postseason arrives.
Brusdar Graterol60-Day-IL
Graterol (shoulder) underwent surgery recently for a back injury he suffered while on a rehab assignment, Jack Harris of the California Post reports.
More detail
The specifics of the procedure aren't clear, but Harris writes that Graterol's return this season is "in jeopardy." Graterol has been working his way back from right shoulder surgery and has not pitched at the big-league level since 2024. The 27-year-old will be a free agent at the end of this season.
Jake Cousins60-Day-IL
The Dodgers transferred Cousins (elbow) from the 15-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Wednesday, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.
More detail
The transaction clears a spot on the 40-man roster for righty Jake Eder, who was acquired from the Nationals on Wednesday. Cousins is recovering from Tommy John surgery and will be sidelined until after the All-Star break.
