Miller is dealing with an apparent knee injury, and he will be forced to sit out Week 2. In his absence, Larry Borom will likely draw the start at right tackle versus the Bills.

Mahogany suffered a hip injury Week 1 against the Saints, and he will now be forced to miss at least one contest as a result. In his absence, Miles Frazier will operate as the top reserve option behind Ben Bartch and Tate Ratledge at offensive guard in Buffalo.

Reed is dealing with a foot injury, so the questionable tag isn't much of a surprise. If Reed can't get on the field versus the Bills, Roger McCreary or Keith Abney could see more action opposite Rock Ya-Sin.

Campbell was the only Lions player to play all 90 defensive snaps during Sunday's OT win, and he finished tied for the second-most tackles on the team behind D.J. Reed (10, foot). Campbell entered 2026 on the heels of a career year in 2025, when he tallied 176 tackles (89 solo), including 5.0 sacks, four pass defenses, three forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries across 17 regular-season games. The fourth-year linebacker inked a four-year, $81 million contract extension with the Lions in May, ensuring that the Iowa product will be a key piece to defense for years to come.

Hutchinson tallied 6.0 sacks over the Lions' final four games of the 2025 regular season, and the fifth-year defensive end picked up where he left off Sunday. He took down Tyler Shough for an eight-yard loss late in the second quarter to force a fourth down, and Hutchinson added another sack for 10 yards on the Saints' quarterback late in the fourth frame. It was the 10th time in Hutchinson's career that he recorded at least 2.0 sacks in a game, but he'll have his hands full Thursday keeping Bills' superstar QB Josh Allen in check.

Although Barnes wasn't listed as a starter on defense, his 77 defensive snaps were second-most among that position behind only Jack Campbell (90). Barnes set the tone for Detroit right out of halftime, diving in front of a Tyler Shough pass intended for Noah Fant to set the Lions up in Saints territory, leading to a one-yard touchdown run by Jahmyr Gibbs seven plays later. Barnes added a six-yard sack on the Saints' next offensive drive, and the sixth-year pro is off to a terrific start to the 2026 campaign. The Lions' defense will certainly be tested on a short week, hitting the road to take on the Bills on Thursday.

TeSlaa played 52 of the team's 77 offensive snaps but was still the only Lions player who didn't record any receptions, among those who were targeted. The 2025 third-round pick had a promising rookie campaign, catching 16 passes for 239 yards and six touchdowns despite limited usage, but he is coming off a disappointing training camp. TeSlaa will look to improve upon his performance during the Week 2 matchup against the Bills.

Saylors saw no offensive snaps in Sunday's contest, taking all 24 of his reps with the special-teams unit. Saylors made one tackle on kick coverage and had two short returns in the game, taking on most of the grunt work as the Lions' offense burned bright without him.

Vaki operated as the Lions' No. 2 option running back in Week 1 behind starter Jahmyr Gibbs, but he didn't really have much of an impact over his 22 offensive snaps. The running back also logged 24 snaps on special teams in the victory. Gibbs will likely continue to dominate the touches in the backfield while Isiah Pacheco (back) is on injured reserve, leaving Vaki as an unappealing fantasy option.

Izien was unavailable for the team's 31-30 overtime win against New Orleans on Sunday as a result of a groin issue, but he now appears to be on track to make his season debut in Week 2. The 26-year-old is expected to operate as a top reserve option behind Roger McCreary at slot cornerback, and his first test of the season will come Thursday night against the Bills.

Pacheco was already on injured reserve, but he's looking at a lengthy recovery. According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the running back is expected to be sidelined 12 weeks, giving him a "chance" to return sometime in December. With Pacheco sidelined Week 1 against the Saints, Jahmyr Gibbs handled 29 of the team's 31 backfield carries, turning them into 156 yards and two touchdowns. Gibbs also caught all five of his targets for 30 yards and played 57 of 77 offensive snaps. Sione Vaki played 22 snaps on offense but touched the ball just three times for 18 yards. Gibbs cemented himself as the premier player in fantasy football.

Bates had a subpar 2025 season, converting just 27 of 34 field-goal tries and 54 of 56 PATs, and he followed it up with a rough preseason this summer. However, he was perfect against New Orleans, converting a chip-shot 23-yard field goal with the four extra points. Bates led all NFL kickers in point-after attempts and makes last season in Detroit's high-powered offense. If he can get his field-goal percentage back up closer to 90 percent, Bates should regain K1 status in fantasy this season.

QB Jared Goff and Williams weren't on the same page often Week 1, as the fifth-year wide receiver's catch rate fell below 50 percent, and nearly half of Williams' yards (22) occurred on one reception. Williams is coming off back-to-back 1,000-yard campaigns, a span in which he averaged 17.2 yards per grab, so he's a good bet to bounce back in the near future, and perhaps as soon as Thursday's road showdown with the Bills.

The tight end finished second to Amon-Ra St. Brown in receiving yards on the day while tying Jahmyr Gibbs for second in catches. Back trouble limited LaPorta to just nine games in 2025, but his pace during those games would have resulted in a career-high 924 receiving yards, so staying healthy will be key to his fortunes this season. LaPorta will look to make a bigger impact in Week 2 on the road against the Bills.

Both of Goff's TD passes went to Amon-Ra St. Brown, while Jahmyr Gibbs scored on a pair of one-yard runs. The Lions' offense may have gotten a little narrower in the offseason when David Montgomery left for the Texans, but that shouldn't affect the QB's production after he threw for at least 4,500 yards and 30 touchdowns in each of the last three seasons. Goff will now shift his focus to the Bills for a Week 2 road game.

The star wideout got the new season started with a bang, leading Detroit in catches, targets and receiving yards while connecting with Jared Goff for a 19-yard score in the third quarter and a four-yard strike in overtime. The latter proved to be the winning TD when New Orleans failed on a two-point attempt on its answering touchdown. St. Brown has scored double-digit TDs in three straight seasons, and he may be well on his way to doing so again. He'll look to make an impact again in Week 2 on the road against the Bills.

He did lose a fumble, but there wasn't much to criticize about Gibbs' performance otherwise. The star running back opened the scoring with a one-yard plunge in the first quarter, then added another one-yard TD on the Lions' first possession of the second half. Gibbs set a career high with 320 touches in 2025 (243 carries and 77 catches), but he could be headed for even bigger volume this season with David Montgomery no longer in Detroit to siphon away reps. Gibbs will look to keep rolling in Week 2 on the road against the Bills.

The Lions converted $18.6 million of Sewell's contract into a signing bonus to free up cap space. The team also restructured the contract of Amon-Ra St. Brown, pointing to a potential move for either a high-value player or increased depth sometime soon.

Moore was limited at practice earlier in the week with a hamstring issue, but he was able to log a full practice Friday and will be available in Week 1. Detroit used a second-round pick on the rookie back in April, so it wouldn't be surprising if he got significant playing time right away.

Kennedy initially missed the cut for Detroit's 53-man roster for 2026, but he's now back in the fold with Week 1 looming. He could be tasked with punt-return duties Sunday versus the Saints.

Sanders is still battling the illness and knee injury that forced him to miss the team's Week 1 win over the Texans. If he ends up being good to go on Thursday, the 23-year-old will be in line to serve as one of the Bills' starting defensive linemen for the matchup versus the Lions.

Johnson sat out the Week 1 victory over the Texans. He returned to a limited practice Tuesday, but he's not quite in the clear yet and his status will probably come down to the wire for the primetime game Thursday. No Buffalo running back has much value outside of insurance behind bell-cow back James Cook, and now Frank Gore has had a chance to enter the mix as yet another option in the Buffalo backfield.

Bishop was listed as a limited practice participant on all three injury reports due to a groin injury, and his status for Thursday's game may not be officially known until about 90 minutes before the 8:15 p.m. ET kickoff. Damar Hamlin would likely draw the start at safety alongside C.J. Gardner-Johnson if Bishop is not cleared to play.

Bernard was listed as a limited participant on all three injury reports during the Bills' short week, but the fifth-year pro has been cleared to play in Buffalo's home opener Thursday. He logged 12 tackles (six solo) and one fumble recovery during the Bills' 36-31 win over the Texans on Sunday.

Rousseau was dominant in the season opener, racking up two of the Bills' three sacks of C.J. Stroud. His four solo tackles were also tied for the third most on the team. The 2021 first-round pick will look to build off this strong performance and keep producing during the Week 2 matchup versus Detroit on Thursday.

Hawes was in the starting lineup alongside both Dalton Kincaid and Dawson Knox but served mainly in a blocking capacity, as he failed to record any targets across 25 offensive snaps. The 25-year-old also saw eight snaps on special teams and should continue to see similar usage going forward unless either Kincaid or Knox is forced to miss time.

Palmer's only targets in Week 1 came on the last two offensive plays of the game for the Bills. Josh Allen missed the wide receiver on a deep ball he couldn't quite react to before delivering a laser between Kamari Lassiter and Calen Bullock to Palmer for what ended up being the game-winning touchdown. Palmer's 18 offensive snaps prove the wide receiver has some week-to-week upside despite not being a primary option in Buffalo's offense.

Bass was perfect in Week 1, making field-goal tries from 46, 34 and 33 yards in the victory. The Bills figure to be one of the league's more prolific offenses again in 2026, and as a result, Bass will have a relatively safe floor from a fantasy perspective.

Buffalo continued to use a rotation at wide receiver to open the 2026 campaign. While DJ Moore paced the group with 26 routes on Josh Allen's 32 dropbacks, Khalil Shakir (20), Coleman (19) and Joshua Palmer (13) fell in line behind him. Between Coleman and Palmer, it was the latter who had the big play, recording what proved to be the game-winning 34-yard touchdown catch with 1:37 left in the fourth quarter. Coleman was targeted on the subsequent failed two-point conversion, and he'll likely need an injury ahead of him to have any fantasy appeal.

Buffalo started the game in 13 personnel, featuring all three of Dalton Kincaid, Knox and Jackson Hawes at tight end. Knox ended up playing 38 of 57 offensive snaps and blocked on 23 of those, as he ran just 12 routes overall. Knox and Hawes allow Kincaid to focus on his role as a pass catcher, and the latter ended up leading the team with a 5-130-0 receiving line on six targets.

Frank Gore actually out-snapped Davis 10 to five behind James Cook, as both Davis and Gore rushed one time for three yards. If something were to ever happen to Cook, it looks like Gore could actually have a bigger role than expected, making Davis a shakier bench stash in fantasy.

Shakir finished a distant third on the Bills in receiving yards behind Dalton Kincaid and DJ Moore, each of whom reached the 100-yard mark. Moore paced the team with eight targets in his Bills debut, while Shakir and Kincaid tied for second with six apiece. Shakir gets most of his opportunities on short passes near the line of scrimmage, so he's likely to keep getting looks from Josh Allen after leading the team in targets each of the past two seasons, but most of the downfield opportunities should go to alternative options, thus capping Shakir's ceiling. Buffalo will play its home opener Thursday against the Lions.

Kincaid did most of his damage late, recording catches of 40 and 35 yards in the fourth quarter. He cleared offseason addition DJ Moore by 30 receiving yards for the team lead while tying Khalil Shakir for second in targets behind Moore's eight. Kincaid played through a knee injury last season but looked healthy in this season opener while setting a new single-game career high in receiving yards. He'll try to keep rolling in Thursday's Week 2 home game against the Lions.

Moore made a strong first impression with the Bills, highlighted by a 43-yard touchdown catch in the second quarter. The 29-year-old wide receiver had a career-low 682 receiving yards in 17 regular-season games with the Bears last year, but he has exceeded 1,000 yards in four of eight regular seasons split between the Panthers and Bears. Josh Allen spread the ball around as usual against Houston, but Moore paced the team with eight targets. Moore will look to build on this productive debut in Thursday's home opener against the Lions.

Cook didn't find much room against Houston's stout front and took a back seat to Josh Allen, who had two rushing touchdowns and two touchdown passes. Allen's presence didn't stop Cook from rushing for a league-high 1,621 rushing yards during the 2025 regular season, so there should be better days ahead for Buffalo's shifty running back. Cook will have a short turnaround before Buffalo's home opener against the Lions on Thursday.

Allen ran in touchdowns of 21 yards and one yard in the second quarter. Those two rushing scores give him 43 regular-season rushing touchdowns since the start of the 2023 campaign, which is second most in the NFL during that span behind Derrick Henry. Allen added his third total TD of the second quarter with a 43-yard touchdown pass to offseason acquisition DJ Moore. The 2024 MVP delivered some late heroics after the Bills fell behind 31-30 in the fourth quarter, leading a seven-play, 96-yard drive capped by a 34-yard Allen touchdown pass to Joshua Palmer with 1:36 to play. Buffalo's defense did the rest as the Bills improved to 1-0 ahead of Thursday's Week 2 home opener against the Lions.

Bell didn't appear on the injury report at all this week, so it appears the rookie fourth-round pick will be a healthy scratch. While Bell still has a promising long-term outlook after a solid Week 3 effort in the preseason, this doesn't bode well for anyone hoping for early-season utility. In his stead, veteran Greg Dortch, who was elevated from the practice squad Saturday, will get the nod on the active roster.

Hancock was upgraded to a full participant in Friday's practice after starting the week limited by a quad injury, but the second-year reserve DB will ultimately be cleared to play. Other than a few late-season exceptions in his rookie year, Hancock typically saw more snaps as a special teamer than in the secondary rotation.

Hoecht had been working his way back from a torn Achilles suffered in Week 9 of last season but is now healthy again. The 28-year-old is expected to serve as a depth pass rusher behind Greg Rousseau and Bradley Chubb during Sunday's matchup against the Texans.
